One-Day Events

One Day Events provide extensive, critical services and resources for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Washington County, Oregon. Through One Day Events, a person experiencing homelessness can find extensive critical services that would otherwise take months to secure. Services include dental care, eyeglasses, haircuts, connections to second-chance employers, social service applications, HIV testing, mental health and addiction recovery counseling, veterinary care, chiropractic adjustments, and more. This event is a great opportunity for residents of Washington County to come together to help their unhoused, recently housed, and low-income neighbors receive comprehensive care while they walk their personalized paths toward stability and self-reliance. This event is made possible through partner agencies, service providers, and volunteers.

Some of our partners for these events include Pacific University, Virginia Garcia, Providence Health & Services, Banfield Veterinary, Haircuts for Humanity, LifeWorks NW, New Narrative, Bridges to Change, Recovery Works NW, Cascade AIDS Project, HIV Alliance, Journey Chiropractic, Sports Clips, CareOregon, Easterseals, Worksource, Medical Teams International, Donate Relief, Cricket Wireless, Public Libraries, and local churches.

We host these events three times a year: once in Hillsboro in the spring, Beaverton during the summer, and Tigard in the fall. If you are interested in participating in any of these events, please reach out to info@phcwc.org.
